Low fugitive emission tests on site

In February 2019, our laboratory performed two low fugitive emission tests according to ISO 15848-1. This kind of test consists in measuring gaseous emissions from pressurized valve to define its tightness class and reveal potential leak. According to the test protocol, the valve is submitted to two thermal cycles per test temperature and to series of mechanical cycles to evaluate the dynamic fugitive emissions.

We usually perform this kind of test in our hydraulic laboratory. But this time, we have been on site to perform the test. Both tested valves passed the protocol of tests and are qualified in Tightness class A from - 196 and + 200 °C.
