With the agreement of its members, the CRM Group has set-up a policy for the commercial exploitation of some of its inventions and knowledge. Today, our main valorisation activities concern cooling processes and measurement techniques, with some recent developments in surface conversion.
The attractiveness of the CRM Group Tempcore® and MULPIC® cooling processes, for respectively the production of rebars and plates, remains high thanks to the outstanding commercial partnerships with some of our members, mainly VAI-Siemens.
The CRM Group has also finalised the development of a Cr-free surface conversion treatment named “Silicalloy” , with a first successful industrial application. Silicalloy is applicable in continuous high productive lines on metals and galvanised products.
Of the many dedicated sensors and special measurement techniques developed in the frame of our research projects, some have been made commercially available through licensing to specialised companies such as AMEPA, Paul Wurth or TMT, which are Associated Member of the CRM Group.
