Other R&D partners
The CRM Group actively participates to Regional, Belgian and European collaborative R&D programmes and has developed an extensive network of partners (companies, technological centres and universities).
At the European level, mentioning only the RFCS programme (Research Fund for Coal and Steel), we currently participate to more than 20 European projects; we also frequently appoint experts to EU project evaluation sessions and to technical follow-up committees. On the Regional scale, the CRM Group is creating strong collaborative links with the Belgian manufacturing and technological industries through the various programmes of the Walloon Marshall Plan, competitiveness clusters such as MecaTech or SkyWin and, in Flanders, through various projects supported by the IWT.

The CRM Group has also joined the PiMW (“Pôle d'ingénerie des Matériaux de Wallonie” or ”Pole for Material Engineering in Wallonia”), teaming with the University of Liège and other technological centres (Sirris, IBS and Cewac). In this frame, we have developed frequent partnerships with regional small and medium-sized companies, to which we provide specific guidance services associating technical, engineering and R&D assistance.
Moreover, we have established long-lasting collaborations with many academic departments of our neighbouring Universities (Liège and Ghent) although the CRM Group occasionally teams with other European Universities on some specific subjects.
