The activity departments at CRM Group are organised around 4 main axes:
Sustainable metal production and energy efficiency, including the production of steel and metals with a reduced energy footprint as well as the recycling and valorisation of by-products in an environmental-friendly way
- Metal transformation and development of new metallic products, associating casting, solidification, hot and cold rolling, thermo-mechanical treatments, cooling and physical metallurgy to achieve new metal properties
- Surface treatments and advanced coatings, integrating the preparation of metallic surfaces and the development of new technologies to improve coating performances and to design functionalised surfaces with advanced properties
- The complete design of metallic solutions in a wide range of applications including metallic buildings and structures, civil engineering, energy, etc
To support the activity departments, resource departments provide scientific and technical expertise in transversal fields such as material and surface characterisation, engineering, and advanced sensors and measurement techniques. To complement those, the CRM group has also established strong partnerships with a network of scientific partners and clients to cover other related or transversal activity fields (e.g. extractive mining, numerical simulations, etc).
On top of that, maximum organisational flexibility is achieved by setting-up internally, when required, dedicated technological platforms that are focused on speeding up the deployment of promising breakthrough processes or products.
