On 20th of May, Minister-President of the Government of Flanders, Kris Peeters held a Press Conference at CRM Group about the Knowledge Innovation Community on Raw Materials (KIC-RM).

Reverse Metallurgy

On May the 7th, CRM Group, a leading partner of the Reverse Metallurgy projects invited two Ministers of the Walloon Region, Jean-Claude Marcourt & Jean-Marc Nollet to hold a press conference in order to explain this revolutionary project.

ETP - Eco Techno Pôle

On the 7th of February 2014, Philippe Henry, Minister of the Walloon Region, held a press conference at CRM Group to announce the takeover of the activities of the ETP-W (Eco-Techno-Pôle de Wallonie) by the CRM Group. Press release.

The new CRM Group-ETP technological platform holds an impressive set of pilot facilities, a characterisation lab and a small but efficient operating team.  Recent activities cover the gasification of lean coals, the torrefaction and pyrolysis of biomass, the recycling of mill scale and oily sludge, the valorisation of sewage sludge and the processing of glass residues. Information on the Mirage Project

CRM Group participated at the Mecatech day. "Mecatech, one of the Development Poles of the Walloon Region, has recently released a short film to promote the "Mirage" project. This project aims at creating functional surfaces on metals or glass using the plasma deposition technology".


2014 AIST Hunt-Kelly Outstanding Paper Award

Congratulations to our authors Gisèle Walmag, Sébastien Flament,  Jurgen Malbrancke & Geneviève Moréas and also Mario Sinnaeve de Marichal Ketin who where nominated for this Award as the recipient of the AIST Rolls Technology Award for Best Paper from the AIST Rolling and Processing Technology Division – Third Place for our paper entitled Development of New Materials Based on On-Site and Laboratory Evaluation Methods for Understanding Work Roll Surface Degradation.”

The AIST Award and Recognition Program is an important aspect of the association and its commitment to the iron and steel industry. Its purpose is to recognize, through peer review, the active leadership and significant contributions of individuals or companies to AIST and the global iron and steel industry.


The Jules Delruelle 2013 Award for Charline Malengreaux

CRMGroup is very proud to congratulate its employee Charline Malengreaux for having been selected to receive the Award Jules Delruelle 2013. This price rewards an important work, which has been realized in an industry or  in a scientific research center by an under 50 years old AILg engineer in the field of non-ferrous metals (properties, preparation methods of preparation, original uses of non-ferrous metals or of their alloys or compounds) or for the inorganic chemistry.

CRMGroup is very proud to congratulate its employee Charline Malengreaux for having been selected to receive the Award Jules Delruelle 2013.

Day of the Science 2012

During 2012, CRM Group took part to different exhibitions, fairs and conferences. To be especially mentioned, the "Day of the Science 2012", an event associating the partners of the Material Research Cluster in Gent on November 25th, 2012.
